Heathersett School — A Design & Technology workbook built around graphics, manufacturing, and technical vocabulary

Heathersett School wanted a Design & Technology workbook that would give students quick access to key technical knowledge while supporting classroom learning and independent revision. The aim was to create a practical resource that reinforced subject vocabulary, technical drawing skills, and understanding of manufacturing processes throughout the course.

We designed a bespoke workbook featuring illustrated technical drawing guides, including one-point and two-point perspective, isometric drawing, and orthographic projection, alongside detailed graphics and manufacturing keyword banks. The book also included reference spreads covering paper and board production, printing methods, binding techniques, finishing processes, and manufacturing terminology, giving students an accessible subject-specific revision resource integrated directly into their workbook.

The finished workbook supported stronger technical literacy and more independent learning within Design & Technology lessons while giving teachers a consistent framework for reinforcing key processes, terminology, and design communication skills across the department. The books were printed in the UK using carbon-balanced production and environmentally responsible materials.
