A bespoke Art & Design workbook for Hitchin Girls’ School — combining curriculum knowledge organisers, assessment-objective guidance, literacy support, and structured feedback pages in one visually rich resource designed to strengthen creative thinking, independent learning, and artistic confidence across KS3.
Hitchin Girls’ School wanted an Art & Design workbook that would support both practical creativity and deeper subject knowledge across KS3. The aim was to create a resource that combined visual inspiration, curriculum guidance, and assessment support while helping students develop stronger artistic vocabulary, reflection, and independent research skills.
We designed a bespoke workbook featuring detailed knowledge organisers for Year 7–9 topics including Natural Forms, Patterns in Nature, Hitchin and History, Totems, and Toys and Games. The book also included artist references, technical vocabulary banks, assessment-objective guidance, WWW/EBI feedback pages, annotation prompts, spelling support spreads, and sketchbook-style note sections. These layouts gave students clear support for both practical work and written analysis while reinforcing progression through the KS3 Art & Design curriculum.
The finished workbook gave the department a consistent framework for assessment, reflection, and creative development while providing students with an engaging reference resource they could use throughout lessons, homework, and independent study. The books were printed in the UK using carbon-balanced production and environmentally responsible materials.
