A bespoke whole-school exercise book for King’s Ely — combining presentation expectations, target tracking, literacy support, retrieval prompts, and reflective learning activities in one structured resource designed to strengthen independent study habits and student engagement across subjects.
King’s Ely wanted a lined exercise book that would support independent learning while reinforcing presentation, reflection, and literacy expectations across the curriculum. The aim was to create a flexible resource that encouraged students to engage more actively with feedback, revision, and retrieval practice throughout the school year.
We designed a bespoke exercise book featuring exercise-book expectations, target-setting pages, spelling-support prompts, key-word and definition sections, retrieval-focused “Key Points & Facts” layouts, and reflective learning prompts such as “Today’s Big Question” and “I have learnt this one key thing”. The book also included structured prep-review and checklist pages to encourage proofreading, accuracy, organisation, and independent study habits.
The finished exercise book gave staff a consistent framework for literacy, reflection, and retrieval practice while helping students develop stronger organisation, revision, and independent learning routines across all subjects. The books were printed in the UK using carbon-balanced production and environmentally responsible materials.
