Kings Langley School — A cross-curricular exercise book built around feedback, literacy, and student progress

A bespoke whole-school exercise book for Kings Langley School — combining presentation expectations, sticker-based feedback, literacy support, reflective learning prompts, and extended-writing guidance in one structured resource designed to strengthen student progress, organisation, and independent learning across subjects.

Kings Langley School wanted a lined exercise book that would support consistent feedback, presentation, and literacy routines across the curriculum while helping students reflect more actively on their learning and progress. The aim was to create a practical resource that reinforced high expectations and encouraged students to take pride in their work.

We designed a bespoke exercise book featuring colour-coded sticker marking guidance, exercise-book expectations, literacy and proofreading codes, assessment-tracking pages, structured successes-and-actions reflection sections, and retrieval-focused checklists. The book also included extended-writing support, poetry-analysis guidance, literary terminology reference pages, homophone lists, and writing checklists to strengthen literacy and analytical writing across subjects.

The finished exercise book gave staff a consistent framework for feedback, reflection, and literacy while helping students develop stronger organisation, writing accuracy, and independent learning habits throughout the school year. The books were printed in the UK using carbon-balanced production and environmentally responsible materials.
