Manchester Enterprise Academy wanted a professional CPD journal that would encourage staff to reflect on training more effectively and translate ideas into practical classroom action. The aim was to create a consistent resource that supported professional learning throughout the academic year, rather than CPD being recorded and forgotten.
We designed a bespoke CPD journal featuring structured session-record pages, reflective note-taking layouts, prompts linking training to previous professional development, and dedicated action-planning sections focused on short-, medium-, and long-term implementation. The repeated layouts encouraged staff to reflect on impact, identify next steps, and revisit priorities across the term and academic year.
The finished journal gave staff a clear framework for professional reflection and evidence-informed practice while helping the academy create a more consistent and purposeful approach to ongoing CPD. The books were printed in the UK using environmentally responsible production methods and carbon-balanced materials.
